With the arrival of Season 7, we thought it'd be a great time to look at some of the fantastic mods the Halo community has created. multiplayer wave attacks in Firefight, building custom maps in Forge. With the release of modding tools for Halo CE, the future of the MCC's modding community is looking bright. Sandbox overhauls, new weapons, and visual overhauls are just a few things the Halo modding community has been able to make. Now, with Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, modders can finally toy around with most of the Halo franchise. These are in the order of the games levels.Ever since dedicated modders have found their way to hex-edit Halo, there has been a tiny subset of mods for the series. If you want to skip to a particular singe player level, first launch the game with the "halo +console.bat", then you can open the console with ~ and type any of these commands. I recommend 105* FOV as that is what I used while working on the mod. Most importantly, you can press F6 to change your FOV at any time. HAC2 adds various improvements to the game as well. Cursed Halo Single Player and Multiplayer Maps Does not change the maps in any way and this update is not required. Fixes some annoying issues that some people had.
Once you've done that you are ready to play. It defaults to C:\Program Files (X86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition. This is required as the base game doesn't really work right on newer PCs and the mod only supports 1.10.Īfter that you just need to download my mod pack, unzip the files, and drop them into the Halo Custom Edition install directory. Once you have the game installed you will need to patch it up to 1.10. You can easily find one online if you look around.
You can download the game here but you will need a valid Halo PC CD Key to be able to play. This mod is for Halo Custom Edition, and is not intended for young kids.
